This art camp is full of color and fun! Campers will explore techniques including tie-dye, paper marbling and other colorful related crafts. Campers will walk away with their very own customized keepsakes, including t-shirt and tote bag. As the unofficial “World Capital of Murals", Philadelphia leads the way in this popular art form, sending positive outreach messages to our community. If your teen loves to draw and paint, why not consider enrolling them in an introductory mural class? Teens will create their own mural theme and learn how to transfer it onto a larger "canvas". A brief history of mural art and basic concepts of composition, balance and color theory will be discussed. Social distancing will be maintained through separate work spaces and materials.
 
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Kids Wheel Class (ages 8-12) - Kids Wheel Class (ages 8-12)
Children ages 8 and older can join our 4-week pottery wheel class and learn how to center, pull up the walls, and form a variety of shapes such as bowls, cups, appetizer plates, small vases or pitchers, and more!  Some hand building is involved to alter and expand on some of the pieces created. We'll spend the final class painting our creations. A great safe workout where you will use light weights and bands to increase muscle strength. Chairs are used to maintain balance.  Great music that you will recognize. Join us as we create savory, natural dishes in a hands on cooking class.  Learn how to make simple and luscious meals with quick recipes that you can prepare at home. This half-day, week long camp is geared for archer’s ages 6 to 17 with skill sets from beginner through advanced. Archers will not only learn range safety, shooting techniques and how to successfully hit targets but will also enjoy the following activities: Moving balloon targets, 3-D targets, making our own target faces & quivers, games such as defend our camp...just to name a few! At the end of the week archers will shoot in a real tournament for score and each archer will receive a bronze, silver or gold medal! Learn how to make your own soap from start to finish. This class focuses on the beginner soap maker, no prior soap making experience is required. Acrylic paint pouring is a form of abstract painting using fluid acrylic paints. You don’t apply the paint with a brush but use gravity to move the paint by pouring, puddling and dripping onto your canvas. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to spark your creative energy!  Dress for a MESS! Acrylic paint does stain, so please dress accordingly.  You will be bringing home a wet painting and will need to let it air dry for several days.* Ages 8 - 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Children ages 8 and older can join our 4-week pottery wheel class and learn how to center, pull up the walls, and form a variety of shapes such as bowls, cups, appetizer plates, small vases or pitchers, and more!  Some hand building is involved to alter and expand on some of the pieces created. We'll spend the final class painting our creations. The instructor will provide a review of algebra and geometry and teach the trigonometry skills needed for the test. Topics include the most misunderstood math skills: right triangle trigonometry, line equations, geometry skills, parabolas, and circle equations. Students will learn strategies to increase their scores from an instructor with more than 25 years of experience teaching SAT math. Homework will be provided to reinforce classroom discussions. This is a great opportunity to sharpen skills prior to your test dates!  Instructor is a PA Certified Math Teacher with 20 years experience

Children ages 8 and older can join our 4-week pottery wheel class and learn how to center, pull up the walls, and form a variety of shapes such as bowls, cups, appetizer plates, small vases or pitchers, and more!  Some hand building is involved to alter and expand on some of the pieces created. We'll spend the final class painting our creations. For the beginner and the more advanced artist! Throughout the summer we’ll explore the joys of painting on location at places such as Tyler State Park, Clark Nature Center and More! For painting you can choose to work in oil paints or acrylic. Please bring to the class: Basic set of oil or acrylic paints and brushes, canvas paper or board. A portable easel or drawing board would be helpful for all.
