Twirl your way to becoming a dancing prince or princess! Young ballet dancers will learn basic ballet positions, acro and how to move their bodies gracefully as they dance to their favorite songs. Ballet attire is not required but great fun!  Instructor: Kelli Robbins
 
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Acrylic Pouring (Ages 8 to Adult) - Acrylic Pouring - Dirty Flip Cup
Acrylic paint pouring is a form of abstract painting using fluid acrylic paints. You don’t apply the paint with a brush but use gravity to move the paint by pouring, puddling and dripping onto your canvas. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to spark your creative energy!  Dress for a MESS! Acrylic paint does stain, so please dress accordingly.  You will be bringing home a wet painting and will need to let it air dry for several days.* Ages 8 - 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Spiders - Oct. 24thLearn about the many different Pennsylvania spiders and how they make their webs. Then, see if you can make your way through a spider web maze! Participants will also make a spider and a spider web craft to take home. Turkey Hunt - Nov. 21stLearn about turkeys and birds preparing for winter. After the presentation, everyone will participate in a socially distant, turkey scavenger hunt around the building to find the turkeys hiding around! Gather them all up and you will earn a certificate for your family! Families make their own Turkey Leg Ring Toss game to take home for Thanksgiving! Families will also make their own Pine Cone Bird Feeder!Instructor: Mary JettLocation: Newtown Township Administration Building*Space is limited due to COVID-19, you must be pre-registered in order to attend. Using these skills as they grow, they will develop the tools necessary to begin playing soccer. As the holidays approach, it is nice to have food choices that meet everyone's tastes.  Have a vegan guest coming to your holiday celebration, no problem. Join us for a demonstration style cooking class where we can taste and learn to make these meat & dairy free dishes – appetizers such as Stuffed Mushrooms, Spinach Feta Bites and scrumptious sides such as Carrot Mousse, and Cauliflower Bake. This food is delicious enough to share with all of your guests.  Whether you follow a vegan diet or are expecting guests who do, this class is for you!

Chair yoga incorporates all the benefits of a yoga mat class while using the support of a chair. This class is designed to go over and teach you the following: yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation techniques with the aid of a chair. This is a gentle as well as a dynamic form of yoga; you will practice yoga while using the chair as a support. Students will design their own fiber coasters and paint their own ceramic mug - perfect for the cool days ahead. Each student will have their own materials and will not need to leave their station for supplies. All materials included. Students MUST be able to use glue guns independently for the workshop. Mugs may need to be baked at home for curing.
 
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM    Dinosaur Mania! (ages 4-8) - Dinosaur Mania! (4-8)
Learn about the fiercest, ugliest, and largest reptiles to ever walk the planet.  Activities include a slide show, hatching fake dinosaur eggs, examining and making fossils, examining animal bones and dinosaur games.  Join the fun when dinosaurs come to Newtown. *Children six and under must be accompanied by an adult partner.

Sensational Scrubs This class focuses on making your own spa quality scrubs - face, body, hand & feet -  with many of the materials you already have in your kitchen. Learn the importance of good manufacturing practices, the difference between using sugar or salt as an exfoliant, why to use a preservative, scenting and coloring your scrub as a matter of preference and proper labeling even when not selling. * A $25 materials fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Super Soccer Stars - Parent & Me (ages 12-24 months)Parent & Me offers a pre-soccer movement class that will encourage your toddler to use their lower and upper body more effectively in order to improve balance, overall coordination, and kicking abilities. Using these skills as they grow, they will develop the tools necessary to begin playing soccer. Mimi and Pepe (our puppet friends!) will help you stretch, sing, run, kick and play! Super Soccer Stars (ages 2-3) At Super Soccer Stars, it is our goal to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Acrylic paint pouring is a form of abstract painting using fluid acrylic paints. You don’t apply the paint with a brush but use gravity to move the paint by pouring, puddling and dripping onto your canvas. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to spark your creative energy!  Dress for a MESS! Acrylic paint does stain, so please dress accordingly.  You will be bringing home a wet painting and will need to let it air dry for several days.* Ages 8 - 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will also make a spider and a spider web craft to take home. Turkey Hunt - Nov. 21stLearn about turkeys and birds preparing for winter. After the presentation, everyone will participate in a socially distant, turkey scavenger hunt around the building to find the turkeys hiding around! Gather them all up and you will earn a certificate for your family! Families make their own Turkey Leg Ring Toss game to take home for Thanksgiving! Families will also make their own Pine Cone Bird Feeder!Instructor: Mary JettLocation: Newtown Township Administration Building*Space is limited due to COVID-19, you must be pre-registered in order to attend.
