Mom & Me Soap Making (ages 7-12)

This class is fun for the child and stimulates their innate creative genius genes.  In this workshop the child, with help from a parent, will make 1 bar of glycerin based soap, a 2 ounce bottle of body lotion and 1 relaxing child bath soak!  Mom or Dad must be an active participate due to the temperature of the ingredients in the container. Child cannot be left unattended.

*Prices are for one adult and one child to attend the class together. There is a 25% discount for additional siblings.

*A $20 materials fee per child is due to the instructor at the beginning of the class.

Special Instructions
Note: The body lotion will be premixed. The difference between scenting with essential oils and fragrance oils and mica colors vs. clay will be discussed. The use of fragrant or essential oil and colorants are geared for use by children not adults

Participants need to bring the following items and participating is prohibited without the necessary equipment.
• Apron
• Clean hands (rubber gloves if can found in the child’s size would be great)
• Hair net – if can be found in the child’s size if not a head scarf to cover hair
• Soap Making Attire
o Old clothes that you do not mind getting soiled
o Closed toe shoes,
o Tie back for long hair
Additional items to bring –
• Flat bottom, strong child size bag for the child to bring products home,
• Bag to take dirty equipment home
