Local Rocks - Join the Rock Hound Club (all ages)

Are you or your children a rock hound dedicated to the joys of digging shiny things out of the ground? This fun and unique class mixes geology and earth science as we learn how to identify various local rocks, how they are formed, and even make a small rock collection! Everyone will receive a special Rock Hound certificate and should bring a shoebox for their new rock collection. Don’t miss this wonderful introduction into the world of geology.
11:00 am class - We will learn about rocks as we make a rock collection. Each participant will go home with their own collection.
12:30 pm class - More local rocks will be identified as you add them to your existing collection or to simply start a new one. Each participant will go home with their own collection.
