2021 Newtown Sports Camp! HALF DAY (ages 4-6)

Our fun-oriented and highly instructional camps create an atmosphere that enables children to learn, grow, make friends, and have a meaningful summer experience. Each day features a full-camp game in the morning, skill instruction in the day’s themed sport, and afternoon recreational games and activities. Half-day camp for children ages 4-6 runs from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. You can sign up for single or multiple weeks! No Camp July 5th.

Weekly Themes
Sports Camp Kickoff (June 28 – July 2)
Kick off summer with Jump Start Sports with your favorite summer camp games and activities! This includes kickball, dodgeball, capture the flag, tag games, relay races, and more.

All-American Sports (July 6-9, No Camp July 5)
Come play these traditionally American games the week before Independence Day. Activities include basketball, cornhole, ultimate frisbee, frisbee golf, spike ball, whiffle ball, newcomb ball, speedball and much more. There might even be some water games!

College Days (July 12-16)
Have a blast learning about and playing a wide variety of college sports including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and more. Campers make a school pennant and t-shirt and wear their school colors to demonstrate their school spirit.

Ultimate Warrior (July 19-23)
Looking for a fun fitness challenge? Age-appropriate activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite. Obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, and many other activities designed to teach cooperation and teamwork.

Olympics (July 26-30)
The Olympics are coming to Newtown! Children are grouped by age and divided into countries to learn about a wide variety of Olympic sports, including track and field, badminton and more. Campers make a flag to carry at the "Closing Ceremonies" and "Presentation of Medals".

Sticks & Stones (August 2-6)
Have some fun with all of your favorite “stick” sports. This includes the oldest American sport, lacrosse, as well as hockey, cricket, noodle games and more. Kids will create a Newtown Kindness Rock (“stone”) to help spread kindness in their community.

Color Wars (August 9-13)
A great “old school” camp concept. Campers are divided into teams (colors) to play a variety of sports and camp games. This fun format enables children and benefit from the positive aspects of competition while working toward a common goal.
