Sing along with George Sinkler (Includes Irish Songs for St. Patty's Day!)

I've playing professionally for over 35 years.

I played all my life. In college I was part of a theater group that stayed up late around the piano singing whatever we felt like. The piano player had to follow everyone's erratic timing, and change keys at will. That came in handy at Odette's.

I pride myself on being able to play many thousands of songs. Broadway, pop, jazz, you name it. I prefer the variety. It keeps it all fresh for me.

Right now my jobs include a wide variety of styles…

1) Sing-alongs at restaurant such as The Limelight, and in people's homes. I have lyric books to pass out with 1000 songs. I also have singalong sheets for Christmas, Irish, etc.

2) Leading a weekly jam session of Dixieland, jazz, blues, and rock.

I sometimes have up to ten instruments on stage.

3) Elegant supper club settings.

4) Shows for Senior groups.

5) I am part of the Alan Segal Quintet, which does weekly Jazz concerts.

I grew up in Lancaster County and then went to Penn, where I got a degree not in music...rather, Economics.

I have a large garden at my house that I take great pride in.

My wife Wendy sang professionally for 30 years, then became a public school Music teacher. We live in Glenside. We have wonderful twin sons, now 28. They have a punk Rock band called Faster (formerly Johnny One Match)...check them out on line.
